Cassidy Kulhanek is:
a comedian, writer, and visual artist living and working in Chicago, IL. She produces and hosts The Laugh Yard, the premier variety showcase at Chicago’s famed Lincoln Lodge theater; The Big Ass Sketch Revue, a biannual showcase of the best sketch comedy acts in Chicago; Chicago Underground Comedy, the longest running independent standup showcase in Chicago; and PROMEDY, a traveling prom-themed comedy and music showcase that takes place in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York.
Cassidy was voted “Funniest” by the fifth grade class at Hutchens Elementary School in 2003, and was voted Chicago’s third funniest standup comedian by The Chicago Reader in 2022. She has performed improv, sketch, and standup across the US, has featured at Zanie’s, The Laugh Factory, The Laughing Skull, and Goodnight’s Comedy Club, and is a former student of The PIT, Second City, and CIC Theater. She has been featured on various comedy festivals across the US and has opened for Aparna Nancherla, River Butcher, Niles Abston, Martin Urbano, and more. Most importantly, she was once involved in an international sex scandal with a Canadian politician, netting her a mention on his Wikipedia page.
